This Trust Inns Pub was in desperate need of a refurbishment so were pointed in our direction once it was time for the landlords to pick the furniture.
They wanted to keep the venue looking like a traditional Cornish pub but with the much needed modern twist that it needed. We therefore got straight on this brief and suggested the following wood colours, styles of furniture and fabrics.
To be in keeping with the 'modern' look but also traditional, we suggested to combine our Weathered Oak, Vintage and Dark Walnut wood colours to give that mix 'n' match look, but also to brighten up this venue as it was rather dark in places, so having all dark furniture would have made it look even darker but Soft Oak wouldn't have looked right in this space.
As well as mix 'n' match wood colours, we also suggested having different styles of Dining Chairs, Bar Chairs and Fabrics and it really works in this venue. For example, in this picture, you can see our Cambridge, Padded Back Lattice and Country Dining chairs, all put together around our Boston and Stowe Dining tables.
Several fabrics from our own Pub Stuff collection were chosen but also some external fabrics to provide variation in texture and look but also to mix some bright colours to lift the venue along with some more subtle colours.
A mixture of our Duckegg Plain and Cassina Duckegg were used to add a small injection of a brighter colour into the venue, with most other colours being reds, greys and neutrals from our Nevada and Highland collections, mixed with some external checks.
